Security System Design Services

Private and public sectors need more than someone who understands security technology. You need more than someone who can tell you where to place equipment. Businesses and agencies need a partner that can assist them with a security philosophy that aligns with their organization's mission. Whether it is your daily business practices, premise liability issues or typical physical security elements, RMA consultants use their vast experience and knowledge of administrative and operational functions, along with their technical experience, to assist you with designing effective and practical systems to meet your specific needs.

RMA neither represents nor endorses any specific line or brand of equipment. Rather, the staff works to keep abreast of the latest developments in security technology to provide the expertise and guidance necessary to decide which solutions will best serve the security needs of the client.

The systems design team at RMA has found that whether working for a client or through an architectural and engineering firm, some form of the following five-step process will take place:

  • Philosophy: What is an acceptable level of security for your company? What should the goals of your security program be?
  • Program defines the administrative components of your security solution.
  • Basis of Design outlines the conceptual design and specifies the components of the security program, such as ID cards, access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, vehicle control systems and others.
  • Design Development is the process where components are selected, their placements are specified, integration requirements are spelled out and installation requirements are detailed.
  • Implementation is the last step in the process where bid packages are prepared, an RFP is issued, prospective vendors are selected and project lifecycle management is conducted.
As a partner to you and your organization, RMA will be your advocate during the design and implementation process.
